Take care of yourself - Self-care as priority


When responsibilities pile up and daily life becomes overwhelmingly demanding, it's easy to lose sight of ourselves. Saying “yes” to everything, whether it’s work, expectations or requests, might be an act of dedication, but it can also lead to exhaustion, a sense of losing control and disconnection from who we are.


In this ongoing, relentless pace, subtle signs may begin to appear: persistent fatigue, difficulty concentrating, emotional detachment, the urge to withdraw, irritability, anxiety, among others. But you don’t need to reach a breaking point to begin taking care of yourself.


Prioritising what truly matters and learning to set boundaries is a form of self-respect. So is scheduling and honouring your pauses, looking after your body, sleep or nutrition. It’s also essential to reflect on what you need and have been postponing. Surround yourself with relationships that nourish rather than deplete you and seek out environments where you can be your true self.
