Self-Acceptance

The search for love and external validation is a profound and common experience, rooted in our need for safety and emotional connection. Many people strive to meet parental expectations or seek approval from friends, partners and others, rather than trusting their own judgement and sense of self-worth.

However, this pursuit can lead to feelings of inadequacy, low self-confidence and self-doubt, especially when those efforts go unrecognised. It is therefore essential to understand that your worth is not defined by others’ approval.

In therapy, we explore these dynamics to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and greater clarity around the emotional roots of these needs and patterns. This process helps to cultivate greater self-acceptance and foster positive change in the way you relate to yourself and others.

Recognising your own value and learning to accept and affirm yourself can lead to increased self-awareness, emotional freedom, healthier relationships and the fulfilment of your dreams without the constant need for external validation.
